I'm reposting this. I got all nervous after I first put it on here, but then I got a pm, so have decided to plunge in....

This thought has come to me after reading the studio updates thread.
I have always affectionately referred to this board as the *save our sanity* one, even though I'm aware of what the sos meant at the time.
Perhaps we can overhaul it to reflect more of our musical interests, not just Darren, eg have pics of Blue, Placebo etc as well as Darren and perhaps change the name Darren Hayes SOS for something else, possibly just the SOS board. To be truthful Darren Hayes is not what brings me to this site, you all are!
I don't want you all to think I don't appreciate all the hard work that's gone into this site and yes I love the Darren background but I'm just thinking out loud atm.

I'm like you in that it's not DH that brings me here - it's you guys. It's more of a friendship board than a fan board, imo. [img]smile.gif[/img]

If Janie, Jen and Michelle would like to discuss this with me, we'll go about changing the board style for a more neutral one. I'm not discounting that Krissy is chief mod but as she's never here, I'm sure she won't mind. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Coz I think I remember once one of us looked in to it and whoever it was told me it wasnt possible? I'll contact Admin to see if they can put this board in another category other than music and then we'll set about changing the style (background and board title header etc). I'm more than happy for one of you other mods to make a decision re the new style but if you want me to do it again, I've got 100's of backgrounds on my hard drive and I can also whip up another board title graphic PDQ. I'm here now and I agree with all of it except the name change, although I realise I'm outnumbered [img]smile.gif[/img] I like the SOS as it's easy to remember *knows that's a lame reason*

I agree that we should keep it as 'The SOS Board' but lose the 'Darren Hayes' bit. That way, it sounds (and will be) a totally neutral board. [img]smile.gif[/img]

i agree with u Barb. also...terry, is there any specific reason why the text is so big and bulky? it makes messages quite difficult to read as everythin gets squashed into frames. maybe it's just my eyes, but im workin on a massive screen so lol....

I know I don't post on here often so don't feel I count for making an input but I think it's a good idea to go ahead with a more generally themed board. I would still come here, it's great.
